Black Water (David Nerlich, Andrew Traucki, 2007) Diana Glenn, Maeve Dermody; horror; crocodile monster
I'm writing this as I'm watching bits of it on free-to-air. What a disaster, casting Maeve Dermody, who has only two states: non-acting (when she should be), and (over)acting (when she's unbelievable).
Technically, the film is brilliant: the cinematography, design etc., all look great. I think a general point might be makeable here, about how outstandingly competent Australian technicians are compared to the writers and (some) actors.
