I live in Perth and love UWA where most of this movie was filmed. I saw this movie on TV the other day, starting half way through. And I thought that the acting was terrible, and that it was silly. But I kept watching, and the longer I watched, the more I liked it. Especially the university campus, and the "in" jokes. And I fell in love with both the main girls :-)
Right now, this movie seems different to the "real" movies. The acting seems "terrible". But 30 years from now, no one will be able to tell the difference between The Course and, say, Legally Blonde.
