Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild Untold Story of Ozploitation!

(Mark Hartley, 2008) documentary

I’m very grateful to Mark Hartley, the director of Not Quite Hollywood: The Wild, Untold Story of Ozploitation! (2008). To make his doco about the genre films of the 1970s and 1980s he had access to about sixty features and a similar number of film-makers and actors. Of course, it’s all sensationalised in presentation and quite a bit of it is disgusting. But for me the point is to be able actually to see for the first time bits of some films that have never been released on DVD and of which I thought I would never see any (bits).
