rangleriver

The story had been written by Zane Grey during his recent visit to Australia and revised by Charles and Elsa Chauvel; a critic in the Sydney Morning Herald, 21 December 1936, found their script both 'intelligent and intelligible', qualities that he considered rare in local productions. The veteran American director Clarence Badger was brought from Hollywood in June 1936, along with the actor Victor Jory. Pike & Cooper: 176.
