Argo (Ben Affleck, 2012)

I can’t imagine what possessed the Poms in giving this a BAFTA, especially when they had Skyfall right next to it on the list.

I found the main story strand tedious. In a second one, the fat guy and the bald guy almost make this pious film amusing: Alan Arkin and John Goodman were obviously in this to give us some light relief from the political shit. I would much rather have watched two hours of the film they were in. Affleck shd seek employment in a funeral home: he so underplayed his role he coulda beena cigarstore indian.

One good thing about the film: foreigners who are not stoopid. I was actually hoping the Iranians would catch the North Americans, tho they were never going to do it by driving after an aeroplane.
