Bottle Rocket (Wes Anderson, 1996)
Three friends plan to pull off a simple robbery and go on the run.
Surely the only reason for anyone to see this first feature by Wes Anderson (born 1969) is to see where the maker of Moonrise Kingdom (2012) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) came from. A Texas childhood is the answer. And this is a childish film. I suppose it was some kind of achievement to have it made it, but I'm not glad I watched (most of) it. It's a Wilson family film: Luke, Owen and Andrew are all in it: none of them shows any ability to act at all.
