Cafe Society (Woody Allen, 2016) Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Steve Carell; romcom; in the 1930s, a Bronx native moves to Hollywood and falls in love with a young woman who is seeing a married man

Yet another young woman - girl, really - falls for an older man (Steve Carell). She hesitates for most of the film between him and the boy next door, but finishes up still marrying him, tho both she and the suitable boy are thinking about each other at midnight on New Year's Eve, tho on different sides of the country. Poetic justice message: the old man has got the girl, but we believe he knows he's done the wrong thing, because she's unhappy.

Jesse Eisenberg is utterly useless. He looks like a guy with some psychological problem - autism, maybe - and nothing like an actor.

Another Woody Allen confessional piece. He's the older man who married the inappropriate younger woman, and he feels guilty. Again.
