The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (Woody Allen, 2001)
Everything's about this comedy is OK - except for the leading man - played by the writer/director. He's much too old for the part. His acting is melodramatic. And he doesn't write full scripts - leaving something to improvisation. And he's no good at it - so that his lines are full of hesitations like 'you know' and 'what are you saying' and so on. However, he does write the 'gag' lines, and some of them are funny. I did gurgle a bit at one of them.
Everyone else is competent: Charlize Theron, Helen Hunt, David Ogden Stiers, even Dan Ackroyd.
