Prolly the best of the films about alcoholism. Certainly has the best music (Henry Mancini/Johnny Mercer). Jack Lemmon in his best dramatic role (as opposed to comedy). Lee Remick is also pretty believable. And Blake Edwards directing his most significant film (tho Breakfast at Tiffany's is better known). All three were drunks at the time.
Days of Wine and Roses (Blake Edwards, 1962)
