Ewan McGregor is astonishingly good in I Love You Phillip Morris (Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, 2009). (It has nothing to do with cigarettes: that Philip has only one L.) But it’s Jim Carrey’s film, which means that the romantic love story and serious conman story are both always in danger of being derailed by his hysterical kind of comedy. Even two directors can’t keep him under control.
'A cop turns con man once he comes out of the closet. Once imprisoned, he meets the second love of his life, whom he'll stop at nothing to be with.'
