Kingdom of Heaven

Kingdom of Heaven (Ridley Scott, 2005) Liam Neeson, Orlando Bloom, Marton Csokas

Balian of Ibelin travels to Jerusalem during the crusades of the 12th century, and there finds himself the defender of the city and its people.

I watched this pretty much because the DVD was near the front of the box. And read reviews of it while it was on. And the two hours odd passed quite pleasantly.

The standout for me was the performance of Marton Csokas, whom I’ve seen in a wide range of parts. He’s a good actor – unlike Orlando Bloom.

Apart from that … it cost $150m and made $200m (or whatever) and that’s what it’s all about … isn’t it? Show me the money?
