The Royal Tenenbaums

The Royal Tenenbaums (Wes Anderson, 2001)

An estranged family of former child prodigies reunites when their father announces he is terminally ill.

Two Wilsons in this one, Bill Murray and Anjelica Huston again, plus Ben Stiller, who fits right into Wanderson World. Not sure about Gene Hackman tho: he actually shows human emotion, and even some awareness that he is in a movie, albeit a weird one.

My original interest in this was in relation to the Glass family in J.D. Salinger's stories.
