Spectre (Sam Mendes, 2015)

The (non-)intensity of my engagement with this film is indicated by the fact that I've just watched it - and it took two nights to get through its 2.5 hours. And it was only right near the end that I realised that I had seen the whole thing once before. It was because of one scene in which something extraordinary something, namely, that all of the extras - about fifty of them - all simultaneously did something unmotivated and psychologically absurd. The rest of the film is predictable.
My only lasting impression is of yet another enormous waste of money on yet another meretricious film.
