This is just as horrible as I expected it would be – worse, maybe, as it shows Emmett's bloated corpse just as was shown at the time. I was surprised no-one in the film showed signs of nausea.

Milam and Bryant, left and right, the two men who, one year after being found not guilty of the killing, confessed that they lynched Emmett Till. 
Bryant was the spouse of Carolyn Bryant, the girl who claimed at the trial of being assaulted by Emmett Till. That looks like her in the photo, with Bryant. A warrant for her arrest was written, but never served. She was still alive in 2022, as in the photo at right.
