Miranda Edmonds

Bio from Cottesloe Films:
Leaving behind a career in the law, Miranda followed her passion and studied film at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts.
Her award winning short films show cinematic vision and raw human emotion as they tell stories that resonate and entertain. They have played at festivals around the globe and sold to TV stations in Australia and internationally.
The award winning Tango Underpants stars Emma Booth as a forlorn Australian backpacker who discovers the tango and the importance of the right underwear in Argentina. Adapted for the screen by John Collee (Master and Commander, Happy Feet), shot entirely in Argentina and featuring original music by Guy Gross (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) this film touches the hearts and dancing feet of all that see it.
Based on a short story by Tim Winton, 'the water was dark and it went forever down' explores a moment in the life of an isolated girl in an isolated place. Filmed in Lancelin, Western Australia, this film captures the essence of the landscape it was written about.
Miranda’s latest film Library of Love is a short musical comedy starring Trilby Glover (Scream Queens), Ian Brennan (creator of TV show Glee) and a number of exceptional WAAPA musical theatre graduates. Executive Producers include Emma Booth and Tim Minchin. It is about to launch on the festival circuit.
Miranda shows passion and intelligence in her work and loves bringing a vision to life. She also loves coffee, SUP’ing, wine and her children, but has not disclosed in which order.
