Days of Youth (Yasujiro Ozu, 1929)
I had a look at Yasujiro Ozu’s Days of Youth. The distributors are a Hong Kong outfit. The disk begins with an advertisement for Dolby sound, which cannot be skipped. Dolby. Sound. … The movie was released in 1929. There is no sound whatsoever on the film itself.
This has been another in the series Why I Hate Distributors, running alternately with Why I Hate Advertisements.
