This was made in Nova Scotia, though set in a drag club in San Francisco, and stars an Australian actress doing a Texas accent.

It's a sweet film, and I was grateful for the opportunity for a non-challenging look into the lives of drag artists.

Jacki Weaver is an older (b. 1947) Australian actress who has made it in the North American film industry (ie 'Hollywood'), in her case through her well-deserved success as the matriarch of a crime family in Animal Kingdom (David Michôd, 2010).
