MulcahyRussell Mulcahy
Russell Mulcahy started his career in advertising and rock videos and by 1983 he had directed over 300 rock videos. It was not until 1980 that Mulcahy made his first film-directing debut with Derek and Clive Get the Horn followed closely after with the Australian thriller Razorback in 1984. His work is not limited to the film genre with directing credits in the T.V shows Split Second and Queer as Folk and various commercials and rock videos.

He has not only directed in the Australian film industry but also the American with Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) and in the United Kingdom with Derek and Clive Get the Horn (1980). He has not been limited to certain genres, directing in action, thriller, biopic, comedy, drama and romance. He also has credits in writing and editing. His latest film Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) is the only film he has directed since Swimming Upstream (2003). To date he has directed 17 films.

Anthony and Diane Fingleton
Swimming Upstream was adapted from Anthony and Diane Fingletons autobiographies of their working class recollections of home life in Australia. Dianne currently works as a Magistrate in the Court of Magistrates.
Anthony Fingleton on the other hand, has had writing credits and executive producer credits in Drop Dead Fred (1991).

 

 

 

McGrathMartin McGrath
Martin McGrath has an extensive resume in not only cinematography but also with the camera and electrical department. His cinematography debut was in 1982 with the Australian film Snow: The Movie. Mainly centring himself within the Australian film industry, he has also worked with UK and USA productions. He is not limited, working in T.V such as Spellbinder (1995) and T.V mini-series such as Do or Die (2001).
Some of his most notable and award winning works include The Seventh floor (1994), Passion (1999), On the Beach (2000), Children of the Revolution (1996), Blackrock (1997), In the Winter Dark (1998) and Swimming Upstream (2003).

 

 

 

Marcus D'ArcyMarcus D'Arcy
Marcus D’Arcy has worked in many different areas of film throughout his career including, editor, production manager, producer, visual effects and editorial department. He has mainly worked on Australian films with his debut as producer and production manager credit in 1985 with Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. He continued working and in 1989, he edited his first screen production of Bangkok Hilton (mini -series). Raw Nerve (1990) was his first edited film followed closely after by Lorenzo's Oil (1992). His major success came in 1995 with his editing award nominations (including an academy award nomination) for Babe.
His most notable and award nomination works include Snakeskin (2001), Solo (2006), Babe (1995) and Swimming Upstream (2003).

Mainly working within the genres of biography, comedy and drama, Davis has been seen venturing out, in small bursts, into thriller and crime with movies such as Blood and Wine (1996). Her work is not limited to film with small appearances on T.V shows and starring in a mini series "The Starter Wife" (2007).

Jesse Spencer’s career started in 1994 as Bill Kennedy on the Australian T.V show Neighbours. Spencer spent 9 years working withthe Neighbours crew until he hit big time in the USA as Dr. Robert Chase on the T.V show House. Between 1994 and 2004 Spencer (along with starring in Neighbours) guest appeared on many Australian T.V episodes and played smaller roles in US and Australian films. In 2003, he starred in the US film Uptown Girl and played the lead in Swimming Upstream.

Jesse Spencer is a well-known Australian television actor and has been nominated for 2 Logies for most popular actor (Neighbours, 1998 & 1999) and the Teen Choice Award for Male T.V Breakout Performance (House, 2004).
