This was shot in widescreen by Oscar-winning Dean Semler, but the only copy I could buy on DVD came prolly straight from videotape, in 4:3, and was virtually unwatchable.
... the photography ... is outstanding throughout: amazing landscapes of desolate desert country contrast with the low-key filming of the beautifully designed sets. Schultz's wild comic approach to the material goes overboard a couple of times, but generally he is right on target. This is certainly no gloomy trek through the desert; the film positively zips along ... Stratton: 70-71.
